A Housing Coordinator is required for the K'6moks First Nation. This is a temporary full time position, 35 hours per week and is renewed each year based on funding.

Key Responsibilities:
The Housing Coordinator will ensure that housing issues are managed efficiently, effectively through clear policies and procedures that offer transparency and increase confidence among membership encouraging them to move home. This could be mentored position that would be determined by the candidate's experience.Mentorship will achieved with the support of the Assistant Band Administrator and Band Administrator,as well as training and education courses that are available.The Housing Coordinator will report to theBand Administrator and is expected to carry out a wide variety of housing related tasks:

*Keep all housing files up to date, including correspondence
*Ensure that accurate records are kept of all communication,correspondence and emails and that these records are kept in the relevant files.
*Assist with all housing renovations, including meeting and liaising with Band members &contractors
*Assist with all housing new builds, including meeting and liaising with Band members &contractors and mortgage providers, ensuring that all documentation is received and kept up to date.
*Attend and take minutes of all Housing Committee meetings as well as any Community meetings that have a housing component.


*Diploma or post-secondary training in field or any combination would be advantageous
*Some experience with budgets, plan development and housing policies
*Familiarity and. some experience with project management in construction and renovation
*Good oral) and written communication, Proficient in Word, Outlook and Excel
*Able to work with minimal supervision
*Able to work in a team environment
*Knowledge of KFN people, culture and history
