Success Story Follow Up!

Hello everyone, my name is Paula Moon, I have lived in Campbell River for 6 years now & it was a struggle at times to find a steady job, so before this course came up at North island college, I wasn't doing anything. I never gave up, I worked for minimum wages until a course came up & I was so interested in taking it, in November 2016, I decided to enroll myself in the house keeping course called ( Enviromental Service Worker) . At first I was wondering if this course was for me, but as the days went by and the weeks past, I realized this was the best decision I have made for myself in a long time. NVIATS inspired me to do something with my life and be positive no matter how bad a situation becomes. Every day was a learning experience & I loved the course, the teacher was an awesome guy. The course was four weeks long! & towards the end we were going to get interviewed to start a long lasting job at the new hospital in Campbell River, BC. I was very nervous the day of the interview, but again NVIATS staff have helped me out a lot , they prepared me for the interview as well, they are a very great team .

July 20, 2017 I can proudly say, I work full time at the new hospital in Campbell River, & because of all the support and help from the NVIATS staff have given me. Lastly I would like to say something about the staff, & the teachers are very knowledgeable and patient, kind people. I will always be grateful to all the staff for influencing me in some way or another. I am happy I work 8 hours a day & it's a great feeling to get up each morning and go to work.."Be persistent and work hard. Success is a marathon, not a sprint. Never give up! Be committed—Paula M.
