Summer Student Program
NVIATS Summer Student Program provides funding to help Bands, Organizations, and Employers create summer job opportunities for students. It is designed to focus on local priorities, while helping both students and their communities.
NVIATS Summer Student Program:
- provides work experiences for students;
- supports Bands, Organizations and Employers, including those that provide important community services; and
- recognizes that local circumstances, community needs and priorities vary widely.
NVIATS Summer Student Program provides funding to create summer job opportunities for young people aged 15 to 30 years who full-time students are intending to return to their studies in the next school year.
As with regular programming, there is a Call for Proposals for Summer Student projects. The deadline is normally in May. Sponsors must submit original proposals by the deadline date.
More than one proposal can be submitted; all proposals are subject to availability of funding.
